One of the most beautiful cycle tracks in Germany
The Werratal cycle track invites you to experience and discover at any time of the year. It connects Thuringia, Hesse and Lower Saxony over a length of 290 km. You may look forward to a bicycle tour in a class of its own.
Past castles and half-timbered towns: the Werratal is hardly to be surpassed in scenic diversity. Full of natural romanticism, healthy forests, proud castles, half-timbered towns full of friendly people, culture to the full. Beginning at the sources of the Werra in the Thuringian Forest - mainly in visual contact with the river and away from motorways - the tour goes from Eisfeld and Themar, directly through the theatre town Meiningen, past the Rhön with its many hills and charming Hessian half-timbered towns to the confluence of Werra and Fulda to the Weser.
The Werratal cycle track is a very popular bicycle tour, which we would like to recommend to you with conviction.
